Local preferences
Saved shortlists and checklist progress live in your browser. A shared finder link contains the choices you selected in its fragment; only share choices you are comfortable sharing. Browser storage can be cleared from your device.
Measurement events
Optional events are finder_start, requirement_selected, shortlist_view, compare_open, official_outbound, affiliate_outbound, no_match and checklist_download. We store category and bounded counts or outcome flags, not free-text searches or document data.
Optional measurement
With your choice to allow measurement, we store daily category event counts and use a random browser-session identifier to link task steps. It rotates after 30 minutes of inactivity. The server keeps only its keyed hash and event flags for up to 90 days, then removes them; database recovery snapshots may retain these records for up to 14 additional days. These are session estimates, not counts of identified people. We do not store free-text searches, document contents or email addresses in analytics. Your measurement preference can be reset below.
Corrections and suggestions
If you submit a correction, we retain the message and an optional contact address to investigate it. Do not include passwords, license keys or personal documents. Submitted suggestions are moderated.
Alerts
Where email delivery is configured, alerts require opt-in and email confirmation. We retain the address and selected edition for delivery. Each notice includes an unsubscribe route. Delivery remains unavailable until a sender is configured.
Operations and retention
Hosting infrastructure may process access logs for availability and security. The application stores short-lived hashed rate-limit buckets, aggregate event counts and the opted-in session records described above. Correction contacts can be removed on request; the editorial history may retain a redacted record of the factual correction.
