Sophie Kasaei has revealed she “almost died” after undergoing a botched BBL in Turkey when she was 24.
The Geordie Shore star, 34, opened up about her “traumatic” procedure that “almost killed her” during a candid TikTok video she posted on Monday.
Sophie, who felt insecure about her “flat butt”, admitted she was promised a “Kim Kardashian figure” but instead suffered “agonizing” repercussions from the botched surgery.
The television personality suffered a life-threatening abscess that led to her undergoing emergency surgery to drain a liter of pus from her left buttock.
Brazilian butt lifts are used to make the buttocks bigger, rounder, or lifted. It sees fat transferred from other areas of the body, such as the hips or stomach, to give patients a fuller butt.

Shedding light on her ‘near-death experience’, Sophie said: ‘Someone who wasn’t very curvy, I was pretty straight, I thought, “Oh my god, this is amazing, I can go to Turkey for free and get a BBL and you look like “Kim Kardashian and you have this incredible figure.”

He added: “I was about 24 so I went to Turkey. When I got to Turkey I had the procedure and a couple of days later I looked in the mirror and thought ‘wait, should I have this bruise?’
‘The holes in my back too. It looked like a sieve. I just have burn marks all over my back where they went.
‘I also had liposuction because they promised me my body would be great and I would look amazing.
‘After the healing process, six or eight weeks later, I started to feel pain in my left buttock and I was in agony.
‘I was in Mexico at the time and I actually went to a hospital there. They put me on a drip and started to panic. Everyone was running.
‘And they said there was an abscess in them and if it burst, you would be dead.

‘I told them to book me a flight home because if I’m going to die, I want to die with my family around me.
“So I came back to Newcastle. I went directly to the hospital. I had to stay there all night, wake up in the morning and go straight to surgery to have this abscess growing on my butt drained.
‘They drained a liter of cat. It was very traumatic. Packing it up was the worst pain in the world – I screamed at the hospital.
‘It was just hell. I felt bad, I couldn’t walk, my whole leg was numb. I couldn’t even sit on it. It was just absolute agony.
“Over time, the wound healed, but a horrendous, shark-like scare was forming.”
Sophie told her horror story to warn young girls about the dangerous surgery and the complications it can also entail.
She captioned her video: ‘I’ve wanted to tell this story for a while now, but this is my trip to BBL hell. This video is for educational purposes only.
