Georgia May Foote was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
The 33-year-old actress, who played Katy Armstrong in Corrie between 2010 and 2015, did not reveal the cause of her hospitalisation.
Georgia, who is now a nail technician, took to her business’s Instagram page to inform her followers about the health scare on Saturday.
In one story, the model wrote: ‘Clients booked an appointment last week, just wanted to let you know I had last minute surgery today.
‘I’m not sure what the recovery will be like or how quickly I’ll be able to return.

Georgia ended the post to her 7,000+ followers: ‘Well, I just wanted to let you know that your date may change.’
The star remained silent about her hospitalization on her main Instagram page, where she has more than half a million followers.

In Corrie, Georgia’s character Katy was the youngest daughter of Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies) and the sister of Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston).
Her main storylines were her relationship with Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), her pregnancy and raising of their son Joseph Brown (originally Lucca-Owen Warwick), and her romance with Ryan Connor (Sol Heras).
Although the showrunners promised they wouldn’t, Katy died in a car accident in 2017.
However, her death occurred off-screen and she was last seen in Coronation Street in 2015.
Meanwhile, Georgia has been married to musician Kris Evans for just over a year.
They celebrated their anniversary on July 15, with Georgia writing on Instagram: ‘365 days of Mr & Mrs Evans.
Georgia said she is unsure how long it will take her to recover, but did not reveal the nature of her operation (pictured last month).
