Celebrity Big Brother’s Gary Goldsmith was the first housemate to be evicted from the ITV show’s revival series on Friday.
The millionaire businessman, 58, Kate Middleton’s uncle, was in eviction proceedings against The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, Lauren Simon.
Speaking in his first interview on Late & Live, Gary said: “I had a great time, I went in with an agenda and I got it done in five days.”
“I don’t consider myself a celebrity, I’m just related to someone who is a big celebrity.”
Gary previously claimed that he has no interest in being a celebrity, and when asked by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best if that was true, he said: “100% totally.” I want to change what people think about my personality. It hurts me when people refer to things that happened 20 years ago and that are not entirely true, they call me a rascal.’

The 58-year-old millionaire businessman, Kate Middleton’s uncle, requested the eviction of Lauren Simon
Gary previously claimed that he has no interest in being a celebrity, and when asked by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best if that was true, he said: “100% totally.” I want to change what people think about my personality.’
During Thursday night’s episode, the housemates learned that Lauren had received the most nominations from her housemates this week.
Meanwhile, Gary was previously nominated by celebrity tenant Sharon Osbourne, who had the power to nominate a housemate to face the first live eviction.
Lauren received six nominations from Bradley Riches, Colson Smith, Gary Goldsmith, Marisha Wallace, Nikita Kuzmin and Zeze Millz.
Gary’s nomination comes after several housemates wasted no time in asking Kate Middleton’s uncle the reasons he was in the house.
Sharon attacked Gary during Wednesday’s episode as she questioned his true intentions for being in the house.
Gary was one of three housemates in the ‘danger zone’ and was at risk of being picked by Sharon, 71, as one of the stars in danger of being eliminated.
Gary, David Potts and Zeze Millz got the chance to explain why they should stay in the house as each begs him to keep them inside.
Kate Middleton’s uncle admitted that he wants the chance to change the public’s perception of him, after always being known as the “black sheep” of the family.
Sharon said: ‘So, let’s have a nice little chat, Gary. Tell me why did you accept the offer to enter the house?
Gary said he has no interest in being famous, to which Sharon responded, “Why don’t I believe you when you say that?”
Gary said: ‘It bothers me what the public perception of me is. The black sheep of the family. I’m a normal guy. It just so happens that my niece married Will.
The businessman then insisted that he has no interest in being a celebrity.
He said, ‘If I could show people that I’m not that person.’ I’ve really tried hard because this is not my world. In short, I am not a celebrity. I don’t want to be a celebrity, I don’t want to go down that path.
But Sharon was immediately skeptical of this claim and responded, “Why don’t I believe you when you say that?”
