Film fans were left in awe on Thursday as Hayley Mills celebrated her 78th birthday in style with her old friend Gyles Brandreth.
This morning’s favorite Gyles Brandreth, 76, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to wish the legendary actress a happy birthday.
In the sweet snap, the couple can be seen dressed to the nines as they smiled for the camera.
Gyles wrote: Happy birthday to my brilliant, beautiful friend: Oscar-winning actress Hayley Mills. (By the way, her autobiography is fascinating; highly recommended).
Fans of the Parent Trap star rushed to the comments section to express their well wishes and compliment her on her youthful appearance.

The British actress has had an incredible career over the years and rose to fame after starring in the 1961 family comedy film The Parent Trap (pictured left, in 1961).

The day of celebrations comes after Hayley admitted in 2022 that she should have focused more on her children and less on her career.
The former child star offered some sage advice to other parentsalthough in retrospect: don’t neglect your children.
The Oscar winner has two sons, filmmaker Jason Lawson and former actor Leigh Lawson, and Kula Shaker frontman Crispian Mills, 51, whose father was Brighton Rock producer Roy Boulting.
But despite not always being around, Sir John Mills’ daughter Hayley is glad her children followed in his creative footsteps.
Fans of the Parent Trap star took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their well-wishes and compliment her on her youthful appearance.
The mother-of-two told the Daily Mail: “If you’re ever in doubt about taking a job or spending time with your children, do the latter.”
‘Looking back now, I didn’t do it. I spent too much time away.
“They have survived and they are both wonderful men who I am incredibly proud of, but they didn’t have it easy.”
From the age of 13, Hayley was a Disney child star, making popular family films such as Pollyanna and The Parent Trap.
She also starred in the ITV1 drama Wild At Heart, as Amanda Holden’s mother.
Hayley received her first Oscar at the age of 14 for Pollyanna; Meanwhile, her father John, who had a long and distinguished career as a movie star, never received one from her.
The film became so iconic that a remake was released in 1961 starring Lindsay Lohan, who played the twins.
Hayley previously revealed how she secretly battled breast cancer after being diagnosed with the disease on her 62nd birthday in April 2008.

He underwent surgery and chemotherapy, until doctors told him that the cancer had disappeared in 2010. He kept his illness private and only his family knew about it until years later.
At the time, she told the Daily Mail: ‘They found cancer in both breasts and operated on me very quickly. It helped me to keep the news to myself. That’s the kind of person I am.
‘I know people who needed to tell all their friends, but for me it was private and it helped me get on with life as normally as possible.
‘I shared it with very few people. My family and my partner were wonderful from the beginning. “It is very difficult for people close to you to deal with these things.”
