Skye Wheatley’s “plastic surgery addiction” has reportedly cost her a lucrative job as a TV presenter at Channel Nine.
The influencer, who recently returned from Turkey where she underwent a fox eye lift, liposuction, a temporal lift and bletaroplasty, was devastated this week when she was told over the phone that the network would not be hiring her as a new love island australia host.
An industry source told Daily Mail Australia that current host Sophie Monk is moving to another show and Nine had considered Wheatley as a replacement.
“There was an idea to bring Sophie Monk into the new format of The Floor. There was also the idea that Skye could sneak in and take over Love Island Australia in the future,” they said.
‘The executives believed that Skye could do a very similar job to Sophie.’
However, they added that Nine decided not to work with Skye after noticing how drastically her appearance had changed through cosmetic surgery.
‘The whole idea fell through when the network realised that the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here winner had drastically changed her appearance, prompting Nine to back off on the idea of hiring her.’

Skye recently traveled to Türkiye to visit a renowned cosmetic surgeon, who performed an eye surgery known as a fox eye lift.
Skye revealed on social media that in addition to the fox eye lift, she also had liposuction on her arms and inner thighs, a temporal lift, and blepharoplasty.
“The problem with changing your appearance and even your hair color is that your brand is often wrapped up in a look you’re famous for,” the source added.
“I don’t think Nine had any doubts about her ability to host the show. I think what changed was simply the ‘image’ that they hired her for.”

Skye was seen in public for the first time on Thursday after undergoing fox eye lift surgery.
Interestingly, she posed spectacularly for a series of selfies in the car during an outing to the Gold Coast with her five-year-old son Forest.
She was photographed sitting in the back of her car, her face partially covered with skin-coloured bandages.
Despite her appearance, Skye took the time to capture numerous photographs of her bruised face with her phone.
The influencer also revealed bruises around her upper thighs in a pair of tiny shorts after getting liposuction during her cosmetic surgery vacation.
Last week, the former Big Brother Australia star took to her Instagram Stories to reveal the “scary” state of her face after going under the knife in Turkey.
She seemed delighted with her results despite the heavy bandages.
The sighting came just days after Skye responded to accusations that she has a “plastic surgery addiction” and also defended sharing details of her procedures online.
In a social media post, Skye’s face was still completely covered in tape after undergoing several cosmetic procedures.
“I can’t show my face yet, it’s very scary, but when I’m more healed I’ll show you the process, don’t worry,” she told her followers last Thursday.
When her fans pressed her to film her face, she said: “No, it’s horrible.”
The fox eye lift is touted as a “minimally invasive” procedure that uses dissolvable threads to lift the brow and lengthen the outer almond-shaped area of the eye.
For years, people have achieved this look using clever eyeliners, eyeshadow makeup techniques, and various tweezing methods to create a visual sweep upward to the edge of the eye.
“I trust the process,” Skye said of her recovery.

The photos Skye shared on Monday show her face actually looking “scary” after the trendy procedure, which has been popularized thanks to access to first-hand reviews and celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Ariana Grande.
In addition to the fox eye lift and liposuction, Skye also admitted that she underwent a complementary temporal lift (fat transfer to the face to avoid the need for injectable dermal fillers) and blepharoplasty (an eyelid surgery) last week.
On Monday, she shared photos of additional massage treatments for lymphatic drainage and “neck hydration.”
“Oops I wasn’t going to reveal my face yet because the tapes make us look crazy,” Skye wrote alongside a photo of herself posing with her plastic surgeon and a friend who also underwent the procedure.
