Emma Stone praised her co-star Joe Alwyn while promoting her upcoming wacky new film, Kinds Of Kindness.
Stone, who stars alongside Alwyn in the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film, described the actor as “one of the sweetest people” while promoting the film in a press release obtained by People.
“I love Joe,” Emma said in the statement. “We had to do some pretty dark things in this case, so it was extremely comforting to be with him because he’s one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.”
Alwyn, who dated Taylor Swift for six years, plays ‘Collectibles Appraise Man 1/Jerry/Joseph’ in the film, according to IMDb.
“A man seeks freedom from his predetermined path, a police officer questions his wife’s behavior after her return from a suspected drowning, and a woman searches for an extraordinary individual who was prophesied to become a renowned spiritual guide,” describes the IMDb movie.

Its launch is scheduled for June 21.
Kinds of Kindness is not the first time Stone and Alwyn have appeared in a film together, as they both worked on The Favorite, another film directed by Lanthimos.
It comes almost a year after the end of Joe’s relationship with Taylor.
A source recently said People that the Grammy winner’s ex Joe is ‘dating and happy’ amid the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“He’s a great guy and doesn’t like drama in any way,” the source said, noting that Alwyn has “moved on” Swift, 34, to her credit.
After their 6-year relationship ended last year, the source said he “certainly doesn’t speak ill of her,” adding, “He was in love with her and it just didn’t work out.”
Alwyn is “doing well” and “focused on work,” as the source noted: “Joe loves acting, but he can’t stand the attention that comes with it.” He is not comfortable being the center of attention.
Swift appeared to target Alwyn in multiple TTPD tracks, leaving him “a little disappointed, but not surprised at all,” a source previously told DailyMail.com.

“There has been absolutely no contact between them,” they said. “She didn’t tell him these songs, but he didn’t expect her to.”
The source added: “She didn’t really criticize him or smear him.” Joe is not going to react to this.
Alwyn has since reportedly banned any questions about the album and his relationship with Swift from the upcoming press tour for her film Kinds of Kindness.
Swift dated Alwyn from 2017 to 2023, during which the 14-time Grammy winner mostly retreated from the spotlight.
They won a Grammy together for Album of the Year in 2021 after he co-wrote and co-produced several Folklore tracks under the pseudonym William Bowery.
The couple was also nominated for the same award a year later for Evermore.
