Elizabeth was promoting her latest film His Three Daughters and attended a special screening at the Soho Hotel in London on Monday.

The film follows Carrie Coon, Natasha Lyonne and Elizabeth as three estranged sisters who reunite to care for their father.

“It took me away from the physical ability to do certain jobs that I thought were more aligned with the things I enjoyed as an audience member,” she explained. “And this is me being the most honest.”

The Ingrid Goes West star added: “I started to feel frustrated. I had job security, but I was losing parts that I felt were part of who I was.”

“And the further I got away from that, the less I was appreciated,” Elizabeth said.

She revealed that one of those roles she had to turn down was in Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2015 Oscar-nominated film, The Lobster.
