Daisy May Cooper reveals she was tricked into joining a swingers club when she tried to pursue her interest in becoming a sorceress.

The actress, 38, took part in a Zoom interview with the group’s High Priest and Priestess, Brian and Karen, during lockdown.

However, she became suspicious when instead of asking her about her passion for witchcraft, they asked her how she felt being ‘naked’ and having ‘orgasms’ in front of other people in her house.

‘My brain went into reverse confidence when I realized it. “Brian and Karen were swingers or doggers, or maybe both,” Daisy reveals in her new book Hexy B*tch, according to the sun.

“If I’d wanted a threesome, I wouldn’t have faked an elaborate interest in witchcraft to get the attention of Stroud Swingers.”

Despite rejecting his offer, Daisy reveals that she instead tried chasing a ghost for sex.

But she says her fantasy of a ‘dream Victorian’ visiting her quickly backfired, with a ghostly presence ‘that looked like Phil Mitchell’ greeting her.

She writes: ‘I will wait until the ghost of my dreams knocks at my door. Like everything in the paranormal world, I remain open.’

Daisy says her interest in ghosts began after the death of her This Country co-star Michael Sleggs.

Michael, loved for playing Michael ‘Slugs’ Slugette in the BBC Three comedy, died in 2019 aged 33 after suffering ‘complications’ following a battle with heart failure.

Margaret told him The times This week, Michael’s death was when she began to believe in paranormal activity.

“What triggered everything was the loss of Michael Sleggs. When he was in palliative care near the end, he had been in agony his entire life, he was afraid of dying.

“But then he called me and told me: “I’m not afraid anymore, I felt this angelic light at the foot of the bed that told me that in seven days at midnight I would have a new body.” And he died seven days later, at 11:59 .That brought me a lot of comfort.”

Daisy said she told Michael that “he has to come back and tell me you’re okay.”

She continued: ‘I would have! But I hadn’t heard anything. It made me doubt myself. Then I woke up here and they were lifting the duvet, no drafts in the room. Then there was a knock, a musical hammering on the bedroom door. And Slugs had said, “I’m gutted because I’m going to miss the Phoenix festival.”

Daisy revealed that Michael loved the festival held in Cirencester, where a Guns N’ Roses tribute band played that year.

She added of the spooky experience: “Is that a coincidence?” and said he has since experienced more supernatural encounters after his death.
