‘I don’t even remember his schedule when he was in England for a full week. It’s everywhere and I can’t do that.

Chloe said she remembers the exact moment she declared she was convinced the relationship was over.

“I swear to God it was like a day, I remember exactly where we were – I remember the day, the time, the temperature, the clothes, everything – I just remember saying, ‘I don’t think we should keep doing this,’ but I really mean it in Serious.

“It doesn’t happen by chance; it didn’t happen to us anyway.” It was cultivated over time and remains that way now.

The daughter of TV stars Richard and Judy also said she “never” could have predicted their split.

When asked how long they had been apart, she revealed: “Oh my God, I’ll be honest, exactly a year.”

‘We started having the conversation in August of last year. I think people think it’s like a specific date.

‘As the days, weeks and months go by, you realize that no one is fighting for this. You realize that you are taking this thing you are initially talking about more and more seriously.

And very slowly it dissipated, but the first conversation began in August of last year.

“I think I knew I was really unhappy, and I think he knew he was really unhappy too.

“But I don’t think either of us would have ever predicted that we were going to break up.”

Last month, Chloe’s father Richard revealed that despite the end of their marriage, both his daughter and James are in a “very happy separation.”

He previously told The Sun: “Chloe is very happy, she and James are going to France together, they have a very happy breakup.”

“It’s a very civilized relationship: we see James a lot, he’s around the house quite a bit, whether with Chloe or without her.”

From time to time I go out to have a drink with him. Is everything all right. It’s a very civilized divorce. “Co-parenting is going very well.”

In October 2023, the couple confirmed that they had separated in a joint statement after a decade together.

The couple who had starred in their own ITV reality show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, announced: ‘Chloe and I have mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023.

‘We had not planned to make a statement at this time – certainly not while the TV show was airing – but, unfortunately, constant speculation about our marriage has forced us to do so.

‘Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking publicly about this matter and will request privacy at this time.

‘Our only focus now is our beautiful daughter. “We will continue to co-parent with nothing but love.”
