Ian Wright has expressed his belief that his former club Arsenal will win the Premier League title this season.

Mikel Arteta’s team is currently the leader of the Premier League: it surpasses Liverpool on goal difference and is one point ahead of Manchester City.

Wright believes Arsenal will have learned from last season, when their title challenge collapsed.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Wright said: “I think what’s changed is David Raya, Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, three signings who have made a big difference to what’s happening.”

‘The mentality too… the players will take something from what happened last season. Now they are more ruthless, they know exactly what they have at this point in the season.

“I’m happy that at the moment they seem to be on the right track.”

‘Of course I’m going to Arsenal! With what happened last season, they know what they have to do. They are in great shape, all the players are in shape.

‘I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘Oh, I hope…’. That’s not what players want to hear. They are a very focused team, very united and with an ambitious coach who is very focused on what he wants to do.
