Angel Reese’s absence from the opening night of the WNBA All-Star weekend did not go unnoticed even though the rookie star landed in Phoenix on Friday after attending an NBA Summer League game a day earlier.
The 22-year-old forward posted a selfie on her Instagram Story with the caption ‘All Star barbieee’ after landing in Arizona, while also sharing a snap of her No. 5 All-Star jersey on a hanger.
But during the Rockets-Timberwolves game in Las Vegas on Thursday night, Reese responded to a (since-deleted) tweet criticizing her decision: “It’s okay baby. I mind the business that PAYS me.”
