Wild images have emerged of a man being surrounded by police and arrested just hours after allegedly stabbing a young shopkeeper to death.

Dakota Woodford, 23, was found by emergency services outside her grandparents’ home on Henry Street in Paralowie, North Adelaide, in a critical condition about 7am on Tuesday.

The concreter had allegedly been stabbed by a 27-year-old man he knew and was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.

Police arrived at a home in Trott Park, 40 kilometers south of the alleged incident, around 9:45 a.m., where the alleged attacker was surrounded by officers and arrested.

The Sheidow Park man was charged with murder after investigators were seen searching the Paralowie crime scene and the defendant’s home.

CCTV footage from a nearby home in Trott Park shows two officers pointing guns at the man before he dropped to the ground and surrendered.

Several more officers then arrive on the scene and surround the man before he is handcuffed and immediately arrested.

The 27-year-old was refused bail and is due to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

South Australian Police confirmed they are “not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.”

Although there were other people in the house at the time and they contacted emergency services, no one else was injured.

A man believed to be a brother of Mr Woodford arrived at the scene around midday and broke down crying while speaking to two officers.

Meanwhile, investigators could be seen outside the home canvassing the front yard and parking space.

In an area just outside the garage were two evidence markers placed next to a piece of white cloth and what appear to be streaks of blood.
