Despite being an outgoing young celebrity, fans will be surprised to learn that Smith knows little about modern music.
“I swear on my life I don’t know who he is.”
When asked that Charli XCX is responsible for the hit song Brat Summer, Smith quickly made her decision and said, “Taylor Swift.”
Smith was traded from the Western Bulldogs to Geelong as part of a four-club deal in the final minutes of the AFL trade period.
The 23-year-old missed all of 2024 with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and told the Dogs of his desire to be traded in September.
‘The future is exciting. “It’s a successful club,” Smith said at the time.
“And the way they play football, but the most important thing is the life and the balance they have and the people who raise Geelong, that’s what attracted me there the most.
“Football is always amazing, and I guess it’s number one for a lot of people.
But they are more the type of people who live within four walls.
“It is a privilege to be able to meet them and I look forward to adding to what is already an exciting list.”
