We had balletcore and Barbie-core. Now cowboycore is trending on TikTok.
Although there were nods to the Wild West during fashion month from the likes of Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant, it’s singer Beyoncé who’s responsible for this sudden cowboy craze .

Her album Cowboy Carter comes out tomorrow and the cover features her in red, white and blue leather chaps on a horse.
His highly anticipated debut country album, Cowboy Carter, drops tomorrow. And Bey embraced the cowgirl vibe by wearing red, white and blue leather leggings astride a horse on the album cover.
Here, we show you four ways to easily incorporate this look into your wardrobe, even if it’s your first rodeo…
Fringed jacket
Nothing says cowboy more than fringe and the best way to introduce it is through a jacket.
Jigsaw repurchased his sold-out black suede jacket for another season. It is also available in brown. The £450 price tag is steep, but it’s worth it as you’ll still be wearing it in winter. If you’re on a tighter budget, head to George at Asda for his neutral fringed faux leather jacket for just £35.
jeans

A more subtle way to do cowboycore is to wear rodeo-ready jeans. The best place on the High Street for denim is River Island. These loose, wide-leg jeans are similar to styles from high-end brand Agolde, but at £55 they’re a fraction of the price of the designer’s £340 pair.
M&S also launched new palazzo jeans this month, priced at £45, which have become its second best-seller in womenswear. Add a brushed plaid shirt like the one pictured above right from With Nothing Underneath to create a cool country look.
Boots
Pair cowboy boots with jeans or follow model Emily Ratajkowski’s lead and pair them with a midi dress.
Dune offers authentic boots from £60 in brown and black as well as snakeskin and silver. If you’re looking for a real wow factor, there are Terry de Havilland’s red suede cowboy boots with crystal embellishments, £360.
Accessories
Bags and belts are an easy way to add a cowboy touch to your outfit; look for pom poms, rhinestone studs and embroidery. Wild West meets feminine style with Loeffler Randall’s suede baguette bag, £255. Or Fairfax & Favor’s fringed design, The Nashville, £295, comes in a rich chocolate shade.
As the weather warms up, you might even copy Beyoncé and wear a Stetson. Free People offers a denim style for £32 or go bolder with its red woven version for £88.
