A P-plate driver has lost his license after police caught him speeding at nearly twice the limit on Sydney’s western outskirts.

Highway Traffic Patrol Command caught the man allegedly traveling 157 km/h in a 80 km/h zone along Lenore Drive in Eastern Creek on Wednesday around 7:30 a.m.

The 20-year-old driver was stopped and issued a traffic violation notice for speeding.

“His driving license was suspended for six months and his license plates were confiscated,” police confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

The man was arrested as part of Operation Furious, targeting speeding offenses and dangerous driving.
