Royal fans have been left delighted after a video resurfaced of young King Charles showing off his dance moves in Rio de Janeiro.
The then Prince of Wales, who would have been around 29 at the time, was filmed dancing samba with a female dancer in Brazil in 1978.
The royal was invited to the party hosted by the city’s mayor at the time at the town hall, a year before he met Princess Diana, whom he would marry and have two sons with, Prince William and Prince Harry.
He caused a sensation at the time, twirling energetically and strutting alongside a famous dancer named Pina de Beija-Flora.
Charles, now 75, wasn’t particularly dressed for the occasion, but that didn’t stop him from joining in on the fun.

He looked dapper in a tuxedo, with a smart white shirt, a black bow tie, smart trousers and highly polished shoes, while Pina was dressed in an ensemble that certainly caught the eye.
She wore a sparkly white and silver headdress, along with a tiny dress with large cut-out details, which showed off her slender figure and toned shoulders.
Pictures emerged of the couple with their arms around each other’s shoulders as they danced the night away.
In 2009, he visited Rio again with his second wife, Queen Camilla, then Duchess of Cornwall, and was more reserved than on his previous trip.
During a speech, Charles referred to his 1978 night, telling the audience, according to the Daily Mail: ‘On that first visit I can remember dancing a somewhat rudimentary version of the samba with a half-naked woman quite dramatically here in Rio.
‘Thirty years later and before this visit, the lady in question contacted me to suggest a new version of the samba, a little more sober. Do I accept the challenge?’
Pina hung up her sparkling headdresses and her daring, eye-catching outfits many years before her second visit.
However, the paper reported at the time that she was hoping to attend one of the Prince’s engagements in Brazil to give him another dance lesson once again.
