Test offline work in separate stages
Separate first setup from normal work
An app can process files locally while still requiring internet for installation or activation. Check the first setup, subsequent disconnected editing and any periodic license checks separately. Do not infer those details from a vendor’s local-processing statement.
Watch optional cloud features
Collaboration, file sharing and AI features may have different network requirements from basic editing. Test only the workflow you intend to use with a non-sensitive file. Local processing by itself is not an independent privacy or security certification.
