A magnificent apartment

A gorgeous “holiday” apartment on Sydney’s northern beaches owned by Macquarie Bank’s Ben Perham and his wife, filmmaker Kate Riedl, has hit the market with a staggering $10-11 million guide price.

Located in Palm Beach, Sydney, 42km from the CBD, this incredible two-storey project features five bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Located across from the famous getaway spot, the home boasts stunning ocean views.

Perham and his wife, filmmaker Kate Riedl, purchased the property in 2017 for $6 million from the former Chanel owner. Chief Gail Davidson and advertising guru Mike Hale reported The Australian financial magazine last Wednesday.

Built in a secluded location with no immediate neighbors, the house is renowned in the area for its stunning position overlooking the famous Palm Beach Peninsula.

Designed with a thoughtful open plan that makes the most of the beachside setting, the home features spacious living areas and multiple entertaining spaces, hardwood floors, and two cozy fireplaces.

Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout ensure a stunning view from every room.

Highlights include a beautiful upper level outdoor entertaining terrace that opens from the spacious main living area.

There is also a large formal dining room and a more casual area reserved for informal meals just off the gourmet kitchen.

The luxurious master bedroom occupies an entire corner of the property and includes a luxurious en-suite bathroom.

Meanwhile, one wing of the upper floor is dedicated to two guest suites, which share a private balcony.

The lower floor also features two more guest bedrooms and an entertainment terrace.

According to AFR, Perham, who is head of personal banking at Macquarie Bank, “spearheaded” the company’s entry into the mortgage lending sector.

Riedl, meanwhile, is a seasoned filmmaker known for directing top-notch commercials for brands like Advil and Blackmores.

He has also directed documentary films and most recently made the acclaimed short film The Suitor, starring Sacha Horler.
