The Bachelor’s Dr. Matt Agnew and MasterChef Australia star Khanh Ong sweetly embraced each other during a night in on Thursday night.

The best friends have a close bond and have previously laughed off romance rumours, saying the speculation stems from the stereotype that men “can’t show affection”.

MasterChef fan favorite Khanh, 30, took to Instagram Stories to document their cozy movie night.

Khanh hovered over Matt, 36, laughing hysterically as he tried to remember his best friend’s embarrassing antics.

He tried to ask fans if certain behavior was “normal,” but couldn’t get the words out as he was reduced to fits of laughter.

In a second video, he managed to ask: ‘Is it normal for your best friend to literally fart in front of you while you’re watching a movie and pretend like nothing happened?’ It is?’

However, Matt firmly denied Khanh’s accusation and said with a laugh: ‘I didn’t fart! Was not me!’

Khanh held up a toy Pikachu and asked Matt if the character was responsible, and he wasn’t convinced by his defense.

Matt and Khanh recently denied they were romantically involved and urged others to be more affectionate with their friends after they were hit by speculation about their close bond.

Speaking on the Feast podcast, Matt said: “It’s the lack of affection that straight men show to other men that people assume there must be something sexual there.

‘Be affectionate and tactile with your friends, and boys especially need to do more of this. Everyone should feel comfortable enough with their sexuality to not feel uncomfortable showing affection, whether they are men or women.

In an Instagram video, Khanh gently lay on top of Matt, 36, as Matt, 36, became completely hysterical trying to remember his friend's embarrassing antics while watching a movie.

He attempted to ask fans if certain behavior was “normal,” but he couldn’t get the words out and was reduced to fits of laughter.

“There’s that random line in the sand: No, guys can’t show affection, which is stupid.”

Matt went on to explain how the couple will call each other to arrange a “movie night” or “a hug.”

‘Humans are very social creatures. Pampering and hugs, that releases dopamine and makes you feel good,’ he stated.

‘For everyone, women and men, hugs are important. That physical comfort and being able to feel safe. It is something inherently human.”

Khanh, who is gay, also previously laughed off the rumours, telling how they have been friends for years and provide each other with company.

“The rumors are hilarious because he (Matt) is the straightest cisgender man and I’m obviously gay. We’re friends and we hang out together,” he told Daily Mail Australia in June.

“We bring something to each other that I think we’re both missing and that’s just camaraderie,” he continued.

The best friends have a close bond and have previously laughed off romance rumours, saying the speculation stems from the stereotype that men “can’t show affection”.

“We have dinner, we talk about our careers and what we want to do next, and it’s just a sounding board where there’s no judgment and I think it’s a really healthy relationship.”

“I think the funniest thing is that I could be doing this with a girlfriend and no one would expect me to go out with them,” he added.

Matt appeared on the 2019 series of Channel 10 dating show The Bachelor, which saw him ride off into the sunset with Chelsie McLeod.

However, the romance fizzled out after three months and she later confirmed she was dating comedian Gen Fricker, before revealing she was single.
