Stacey Dooley has responded by hailing a “sell-out Saturday” after her West End play slashed its prices by more than 50 per cent for the summer.

The 37-year-old TV personality currently stars as Jenny in Danny Robins’ production of 2.22: A Ghost Story at the Gielgud Theatre.

The hit play returned to the West End in the summer with tickets originally costing up to £136.

But recently it was seen that tickets for almost all seats had dropped to £65, with some tickets available for as little as £15, according to Sun.

However, Stacey appeared to hit back at claims the show had not sold well over the weekend, as she took to her Instagram Story to share her delight at “a sold-out Saturday night”.

The former Strictly Come Dancing champion shared a snap from outside the theatre after the performance.

The lower prices are said to apply to all shows except Saturday matinees through early August.

Stacey stars in the play as Jenny, a new mother who is convinced that someone is prowling around her house at the same time every night.

In a production shot, she was seen carrying a cross while playing the problematic character.

Stacey is joined on the production by former Inbetweeners star James Buckley, who plays Ben.

In the story, Ben is the friend of Jenny’s friend Lauren, whom she has invited to a dinner party.

She convinces them to stay until 2:22 in the morning to figure out if there is a ghost.

Although Ben believes it could exist, his own partner Sam doesn’t believe in anything supernatural.
