Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman received a less than stellar review for her Dua Lipa impression from the pop star.
Although she has gone viral dozens of times for her bizarre impersonations of public figures, from Jennifer Coolidge to Tiffany Trump, the 35-year-old comedian failed to impress Lipa, 28, with her intentionally bad impression of her.
In a cheeky preview of the New Rules hitmaker’s upcoming appearance on SNL, the actress approached the three-time Grammy winner to tell her she’d been “working” on her latest impression.
Fineman proceeds to launch into an upbeat rendition of Lipa’s 2020 hit Levitating, but immediately begins to falter the lyrics after the first verse.

‘That’s very funny, who was it?’ —Lipa asks.
Confused by the question, Fineman replies, “You.”
“The lyrics aren’t 100 percent,” Lipa explains, before suggesting that she may be missing some of her signature dance moves.
In an attempt to follow actress Barbie’s advice, Fineman redoes her impression, but with more energy and focusing on her footwork.
“That’s more like tap dancing,” Lipa says. ‘Maybe, it’s the look?’
Lipa suggests they change their appearance, and Fineman reappears in a red wig the same shade as the London native’s fiery locks.
After the makeover, Fineman, who began speaking with a British accent, said she was “really feeling the Dua spirit.”
After a third attempt at imitating the singer, Lipa hands the microphone to Fineman and tells him he’s “close enough.”

“You’re going to make it, girl,” she concludes, before revealing her plans to focus on learning her sketches and having Fineman do the acting for her.
The prank was a hit with fans, as many in the YouTube comments section suggested that “it would be super funny if they actually let “Fineman” perform a song.”
“I’m saying it: this will be one of the best episodes of the season,” another anticipated.
A third wrote: ‘That was funny! I’m still out of breath.’
Lipa will do double duty as Saturday Night Live host and musical guest in the next episode airing May 4.
Although it is his first time presenting, he has already performed on the program in 2018 and 2021.
The appearance will come a day after he releases his third studio album, Radical Optimism.
While talking about his new album, he said Variety: “I think it’s important for me to understand that when things go wrong, there is always some light at the end of the tunnel.”
“I always think about it like, when I’m in the middle of a mess of confusion or everything goes wrong, I always say to myself, in a couple of months, I’ll look back on that moment and say, thank you.” God, I went through it,” he said. ‘I did not choose to hide or not address the problem at hand, whatever it may be, but rather I chose to confront it. He added that he believes that “especially in today’s world” it is “important that we simply learn to walk through the fire and not hide from it or shy away from it.”
‘That’s just optimism. It’s probably the most daring thing we can do,’ she concluded.
This marks his first album since the massive success of his album, Future Nostalgia, which contains some of his biggest hits including Don’t Start Now, Physical and Break My Heart.
Future Nostalgia was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammy Awards.
And its lead single, Don’t Start Now, was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Her debut studio album, Dua Lipa, was released in 2017. Some of the best-known songs from the record include Be the One, IDGAF, and New Rules.
The album was nominated for British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards and helped her win Best New Artist. at the Grammy Awards.
It is also the most streamed female album of all time on Spotify.
