Milan Fashion Week’s spring/summer 2024 show kicked off in style on Tuesday, with some of the industry’s biggest names heading to the Fendi show to see its latest range of looks.
Leading the glamorous arrivals was Shanina Shaika, who showed off her famous model figure in a skintight mini dress, paired with knee-high black leather boots.
The Australian fashion star showed off her chic sense of style in a fitted knit mini dress, paired with a ruched neckline, and accessorised her look with a matching taupe handbag.
Amelia Gray Hamlin also showed off her casual fashion sense in a white top paired with an oversized black jacket.

The model accessorized her look with baggy black jeans and black boots, showing off her simple fashion sense as she arrived at the show.
Milan Fashion Week will run from Tuesday 17 September to Monday 23 September and will feature a total of 57 shows and 69 presentations.
Some of the biggest names in the industry are expected to show off their latest looks, including Prada, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Emporio Armani and Versace.
Notable absences include Giorgio Armani, who instead presented his new range in New York, and Tom Ford, who will hold a presentation rather than a show, following the departure of Peter Hawkins and in anticipation of new creative director Haider Ackermann’s debut for the autumn/winter 2025 collection.
Speaking about the upcoming runway show, Vogue Italia contributor Giorgia Feroldi said: Vogue Business‘Being in Milan during fashion week always means having very little time to rest and process what you’ve seen, as it’s always the most packed schedule of the ‘big four’.’
“But with fewer big premieres ahead and one more day on the agenda in search of some rest, the mood feels a little more relaxed compared to other seasons. I hope this can benefit younger designers.”
Moschino’s Adrian Appiolaza will present his second womenswear collection for the house, following a well-received menswear show in June.
Brigitte Chartrand, Vice President of Womenswear Buying at Ssense, offered insight into some of the key trends expected to take centre stage in Italy.
She said: ‘Our SS25 buy will take shape as we go along, but we will always come prepared with insights from last season, for example interesting microtrends that we think more designers will adopt next season.
“What does that mean for spring? We’re looking for pieces that are fun yet feminine; contrasting materials, layers, sheers, embroidery and embellishments.
‘On the other hand, we’re also looking for that stronger, more empowering tomboy look and we hope to see a lot of ties.’
