Sabrina Carpenter responded to a social media troll who accused her of lip-syncing during her live concerts.
Last week, the 25-year-old pop artist kicked off her Short N’ Sweet Tour, named after her new studio album released in August.
Shortly after the tour began, a TikTok user posted a fan video of one of his performances and asked, “Do you ever sing live?”
Another account reposted the clip and responded to the question: “I hate to say it, but 30% lip singing, 30% backing track, 40% singing.”
The scorching accusation managed to catch the attention of Sabrina, who jumped into the comments section to give her response.

Sabrina defiantly wrote under the TikTok video: “I sing live every show 100%. Would you like to talk to my audio engineers?”
However, the social media user was not convinced and responded to Sabrina: “I would tell them to lower their backtracking voice because it’s too loud.”
Her album Short ‘N Sweet has made headlines for its song Taste, an acid-tongued song rumored to be aimed at Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello.
Although she doesn’t name any particular man in Taste’s lyrics, she tells a juicy story about an ex who got back together with a previous love.
Sabrina was briefly linked to Shawn in 2023, during one of the gaps in his long on-off relationship with Camila.
Shawn and Camila got back together publicly shortly after his dating rumors with Sabrina, but have since broken up once again.
The lyrics of Sabrina’s Taste are addressed to the woman with whom her ex has rekindled his old romance, and her message to her love rival is scathing.
“I heard they’re back together and if that’s true, you’re going to have to taste me when he kisses you,” she teases the other woman in the chorus.

Sabrina even takes credit for her old boyfriend’s sense of humor, noting, “It’s funny, all his jokes are different now.” Guess who he learned that from?
The treat came hot on the heels of rumors that Sabrina had dumped her last boyfriend, Saltburn hunk Barry Keoghan, over her partying lifestyle.
Barry and Sabrina were linked late last year when he became a Hollywood heartthrob for his steamy performance in Saltburn.
They confirmed they were a couple at a Grammys party in February, but largely refrained from speaking to each other in public.
Last week, a source claimed they had broken up about three weeks earlier because she had become exasperated by the way he behaves under the influence.
