She took a step back from the spotlight after controversially leaving the CW superhero series Batwoman in 2020.
And now Ruby Rose has emerged with a bold new look.
The 38-year-old actress and model took to social media this week to share photos of her newly shaved head.
Ruby recently showed off her lush black hair, but decided to cut it off for the American summer.
Ruby shared photos of herself visiting The Gentle Barn animal sanctuary in California.
In the footage, the Orange Is The New Black star can be seen cuddling a cow and a pig.
She also included a selfie of Remy Hii, a 38-year-old Malaysian-Australian former Neighbours actor, who accompanied Ruby on her trip to the sanctuary for abused animals.
“The Gentle Barn has always been a special place to me,” Ruby gushed in her post.
‘I love being able to carry Remy Hii… feel the extraordinary experience of hugging a cow… I’m obsessed.’
The Melbourne native, whose real name is Ruby Rose Langenheim, began her career in show business as a model, DJ and television presenter for MTV Australia.
Ruby Rose shaved her hair short and revealed her new look when she visited an animal sanctuary this week.
As her popularity grew, she found herself starring in major modeling campaigns for big names like Maybelline, and co-hosting popular shows like Channel 10’s The Project and Australia’s Next Top Model.
She moved to Hollywood in 2013 to pursue acting and then rose to fame in 2015 with her breakout role in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.
The genderfluid star’s acting career skyrocketed when she was cast in blockbuster films such as Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) and Pitch Perfect 3 (2017).

She starred alongside Hollywood royalty Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017) and alongside Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017).
In 2018, Ruby also co-starred alongside Jason Statham in the sci-fi thriller The Meg.
However, her career took a turn for the worse in 2020 when she controversially left the CW superhero series Batwoman after just one season.
The star claimed she was subjected to poor working conditions on the set of the superhero series.
In the images, the star of The Orange Is The New Black can be seen hugging a cow and a pig.
“To my dear, dear fans who still ask me if I will return to that horrible show, I would not go back for any amount of money or if you had a gun to my head… I AM NOT QUITTING EITHER,” she wrote in a scathing online post.
‘I DID NOT RESIGN, they ruined Kate Kane and destroyed Batwoman, not me.’
Since then, she has appeared in the films Stowaway, Vanquish, 1UP and Taurus throughout 2021 and 2022.
It comes amid news that the star is writing a tell-all memoir that will include details about her feud with Veronicas’ Lisa and Jessica Origliasso.
The star dated Jess from 2016 to 2018, during which time the sisters’ relationship became so strained that they were on the verge of estrangement.
Ruby announced on Instagram that she had started writing her book and vowed to expose the pop twins – whom she did not name but called “the sisters” – for how “horrible” they allegedly were to her.
Ruby is seen with her signature dark brown haircut.
He also claimed that the “truth” he was writing would “upset a lot of people.”
Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show a few months after the split, Jessica said she was in “a very complex relationship”.
She added: “I’m still trying to come to terms with the reality of this every day, so it’s really hard to explain it to anyone.
“So many things happened, so many that I can’t even count them.”
