Fashion designer Christian Siriano has had a lot to say about why he won’t dress the Real Housewives stars, explaining that “it can be frustrating.”
Her statement comes on the heels of her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where she hinted that she won’t dress the Real Housewives stars because they don’t pay for their clothes.
The answer came after Cohen asked Siriano, who got her start on the network’s hit Project Runway, if she had ever dressed a Real Housewives star.
‘I mean, have you ever? Maybe. But listen, they’re not on my list because, one, they don’t pay,’ he said during the show.
However, there was one star who was an exception to this, and that was Real Housewives of Salt Lake City newcomer Bronwyn Newport, who she said was her “number one” client and actually pays for her “attacks.” “.

Now, in a new interview on the red carpet with TIME MagazineSyriano revealed whether or not she thinks the Real Housewives will pay her now that she called them out on WWHL.
“Listen, you know, the thing is, and I get it, in this world, sometimes the flowy dresses flow, people are always looking, ‘Can I borrow this for this?’ “Can I borrow that for that?” Syriano said in a clip that was posted on TikTok.
“But you know, the hard thing is, what I said before is that we’re not just a closet, like we’re in this as a business, this is how we finance our company, I have a lot of employees, a lot of mouths.” feed,” the designer continued.
He admitted that “sometimes it can be frustrating” when things like this happen.
“Hopefully everyone is aware of that,” the designer continued.
“And maybe it’s not just Housewives, maybe some actors and musicians get it too, I mean, Oprah pays, hello,” she added.
In the comments section of TIME’s TikTok clip, many seemed to agree with Siriano’s take on this.
“I can imagine giving away a dress for a great start to a big event, but the Real Housewives are just tainting their brand,” one person criticized.

‘I appreciate you saying this. “They do the same thing with hair and makeup,” someone else said.
Another TikTok user seconded: “Love him, pay him, he’s a genius.”
Interestingly, though, this isn’t the first time The Real Housewives has had to deal with an unpaid designer dress.
More than ten years ago, Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel accused her former co-star Ramona Singer of stealing a dress from the set of her defunct talk show.
At that time, for OK! MagazineFrankel said Singer told her her dress had fallen out of the car, but then posted a photo of her on Instagram wearing the dress with her daughter, Avery.
Singer later admitted that he had the dress and was going to take it to Frankel.
However, it is unclear if he ever returned them.
