Turner told the Cairns Mail his wife was “distraught” by the incident.

“No one should go on stage and everyone felt for the young woman, but my wife reacted instinctively,” he said.

‘I closed the program for medical attention and physically put her in an ambulance. Then I also attended to my wife who was distressed.’

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed a woman in her 20s was transported to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition. She has been discharged.

WhatsNew2Day Australia has contacted Turner for comment.

Turner released her debut studio album Women Weed & Wordplay in October 2018.
