With the calendar turning to September, we are entering the home stretch of the 2024 MLB regular season. And with that, the postseason landscape is beginning to take shape, but there are still some questions to be answered about which teams will be playing baseball in October for a chance to be crowned world champions.

Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman analyze the current postseason landscape and ask if there will be exciting races down the stretch within the divisions and wild-card positions. With teams like the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves seemingly locked into a playoff spot, will there be a way for the New York Mets to sneak in? Can the Arizona Diamondbacks or San Diego Padres catch the Los Angeles Dodgers in the coming weeks to win the NL West crown?

Also on this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, the guys talk about the waiver system, how it works, and why players like Taylor Rogers and Tommy Pham could have an impact on a potential playoff team. Jake and Jordan then chat about an X-rated trade with a fan calling for Mark Cuban to buy the Pittsburgh Pirates, as well as talk about Rhett Lowder’s debut with the Cincinnati Reds. The guys also reveal their picks for The Good, The Bad, and The Uggla this week.
