A Farmer Wants A Wife contestant was left furious after producers ‘destroyed’ his family home and replaced the furniture to make it more TV-worthy.
Farmer Todd recently joined the series as a new candidate looking for love and has been exploring potential romantic connections on his farm in Baan Baa, New South Wales.
However, a friend of Todd’s has now exclusively revealed behind-the-scenes filming secrets to Daily Mail Australia, explaining how the show renovated his family’s farm for the show.
They claimed that the producers replaced all the furniture in Todd’s home with rented items and “stripped” the decor, leaving his family unimpressed.
The source went on to claim that the producers also suggested painting their walls, but Todd was adamant and insisted they couldn’t.

“The shoot is long and the invasion of your life is almost intolerable,” Todd’s friend revealed.
“Todd had the producers at his family home tear up the decor and that was just the first day, I don’t think his mother was very happy at the time.”
“The production team decided the farm didn’t have the look they wanted and stripped the entire house of its furniture and replaced it with rented stuff,” said a source close to the family.
“Then they wanted to paint the walls and that’s when Farmer Todd came in and said, ‘That’s enough!’
The friend also claimed that the scenes in which Todd introduced his romantic interests to his friends took 10 hours to film, even though they only appeared on screen for a few moments.

In the brutal scenes, Todd’s friends told him he should look for love elsewhere as they shared their doubts about his connection to Daisy Lamb.
“I think it might be fun for now, but not in the long term,” a colleague told the farmer, adding that he was not a good match because he had recently divorced.

Currently, Todd hangs out with Daisy, Iyesha, Grace, Jacinta and Ellen on his farm in an attempt to find the love of his life.

“The other girls had a lot of time, we all had a chance to talk to him and spend time alone with him and it’s sad that what could have been an amazing story turned into something so disgusting.”
