Ollie Watkins has confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Ellie Alderson after proposing to her in Italy on Monday.
The England striker, 28, has been in a relationship with interior designer Ellie, also 28, since 2018 and she took to social media to reveal they are set to tie the knot.
She told her Instagram followers: ‘Special night at Lake Como with my fiancé… ahhhh so happy.’ (sic)
Ellie shared the happy news alongside a series of romantic snaps from her trip to Lake Como in Italy, a getaway that comes after England’s heartbreak at the Euros.
In the first black and white photo, Ollie was on his knees in front of Ellie, with both opting for crisp white outfits.

The couple have also started a young family together.
They welcomed their first child, Amara, in September 2021, and she had a baby brother, Marley, in April of last year.
They have been together for six years and outside of football, Ellie works in interior design.
Thrifty Ellie also appears to have a Depop account where she has sold items from her glamorous collection.
She has an identical twin sister, Sofia, and is originally from West Berkshire, where the sisters grew up with their mother and brother, Ben, who is a published author of fantasy and contemporary fiction.
The WAG has consistently supported her footballer boyfriend with appearances at games and posts on social media.
