- Police responded to an incident allegedly involving Raiders star
- It happened at 3am on Monday at the club’s facilities in the ACT.
Canberra Raiders star Josh Papali’i is being investigated by ACT Police after allegedly behaving aggressively, smashing glasses and refusing to leave the club’s licensed premises on Monday.
No charges have been filed.
ACT Police confirmed the allegations in a statement sent to Daily Mail Australia.
‘At approximately 3.10am on Monday 16 September 2024, police responded to a request from a licensed premises in respect of two males behaving aggressively, smashing glasses and refusing to leave,’ the statement said.
‘After the confrontation with the police, the men left, but re-entered the premises shortly afterwards.

The forward (pictured carrying the ball against the Dragons this year) has not been charged after being accused of refusing to leave a licensed premises.
‘A third member of the group escorted the two men from the premises and they left the premises a short time later.
‘Investigations related to this matter are continuing, although no charges have been filed at this time.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Raiders for comment.
Canberra failed to make the finals series this season and finished ninth.
Papali’i, 32, has played 305 games for the club since making his debut for the team in 2011, and has one year remaining on his current contract.
He is one of the most respected forwards in the game after racking up 23 appearances for Queensland and 11 games for Australia during his career.

In 2017 he was arrested by police under strange circumstances after calling the police to tell them he was drunk driving.
Papalii called triple-0 and reported that he was driving drunk and on the wrong side of the road “to prove a point” after leaving the engagement party of then-teammate and captain Jarrod Croker.
Papali’i was fined $1,000 and disqualified from driving for eight months for the bizarre incident on January 15, in which he breathated 0.123.
In July, Papali’i’s wife Masepa was banned from playing football for 10 years after her involvement in a fight at a women’s match.
He was handed a severe ban by the Canberra Region Rugby League after he was found to have entered the field during a fierce clash between West Belconnen Warriors and Bungendore Kangaroos earlier this month.
Footage of the incident, which was captured during Katrina Fanning’s Shield livestream over the weekend, surfaced on social media and showed a violent fight between the two.
