Furious NAB Bank customers have been hit by a major technology outage affecting their online, mobile and desktop banking services.
As of 4:30 p.m. Thursday, more than 1,900 complaints had been submitted to technical monitoring website Downdetector by frustrated customers who were unable to use the banking app and other online services.
A NAB spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia at 6:39pm that its services were back up and running.
The first reports of NAB services going down came in at around 3:50 p.m., according to Downdetector.
This is the second major IT service outage affecting a bank in the past two months.
“NAB’s systems are currently experiencing a technical issue which is impacting the functionality of the NAB App and internet banking,” the bank tweeted early Thursday.

Angry customers took to social media to vent their frustrations.

Another user wrote: “Has online banking been hacked? They ask for a new version of online banking but it doesn’t work,” another X user wondered.
A third added: ‘What the hell is wrong with NAB’s internet banking?’
NAB has asked for patience as it tries to resolve technical issues blocking its mobile and internet services.
Others were furious at being locked out of their accounts for the second time in two months.
“It seems that NAB’s banking service has gone down again. Is this a common occurrence at NAB these days? What is causing these issues?” asked another X user.
