Mick Jagger’s girlfriend Melanie Hamrick has revealed that her son Deveraux has an “amazing” singing voice.
The former ballet dancer and author, 37, told how the seven-year-old son she shares with the Rolling Stones rocker, 81, could be headed for a musical future just like his famous father.
However, she admitted that she would never want to be an aggressive “stage mother” towards her son.
She said Hello! Magazine“When my son was little, we’d do the hockey cokey dance every now and then, but now he says, ‘Mom, that’s not right.’ How is he a teenager now?” She says she loves watching his talent grow.
“I can’t wait to see what he does, but I don’t want to put pressure on him because there’s a lot of pressure between Mick and I.

“When I hear him sing in school shows, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, his voice was amazing, did everyone hear that? ‘ And then I’m like, ‘Melanie, let him be a kid! Don’t be a stage mom! ‘”
In December 2016, Melanie gave birth to their son Deveraux “Devi” Jagger. He was her first child and Mick’s eighth.
Sir Mick has eight children and is father to Karis, 53 (by Marsha Hunt); Jade, 52 (by Bianca Jagger); Lizzie, 40, James, 38, Georgia May, 32, and Gabriel, 26 (by Jerry Hall); Lucas, 24 (by Luciana Gimenez Morad) and Deveraux.
It comes after Melanie revealed what Mick really thinks about her very saucy romance novels.
The author has written her second romance novel based on ballet and admitted that she finds the sex scenes to be the “easiest” part of her stories to write.
Melanie published her first book, First Position, last year, described as a “ballet hit”, while her second is called The Unraveling.
Talking with The times And listing the vocabulary she uses for sexy scenes, she said: “Haunting, throbbing, pulsating. Just go to the thesaurus. That’s what Mick said, it’s like, ‘Heartbeat was used a lot in the second book.'”
The former dancer and choreographer added that it was Mick himself who encouraged her to start writing books in the first place.

She is a former dancer with the American Ballet Theatre, from which she retired in 2019 after fifteen years.
She added about writing sex scenes: “It’s like choreographing a dance. It’s a movement and I write the movements.”
In the interview she also spoke about their large age gap saying that she just “doesn’t think about it” and accepts that everyone is going to have their opinion and as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone, it’s okay.

“Happy birthday babe! We love you ,” she wrote in her latest Instagram post.
One shot captured the loved-up couple posing for a mirror selfie while both sporting chic outfits, with Mick gently placing a hand on Melanie’s waist.
She was the epitome of class in a jewel-embellished black midi dress, while the rock legend sported a suit.
This was followed by a touching photograph of Mick holding his son’s hand backstage, before entering the stage.

The Rolling Stones icon and the former dancer met in February 2014 while they were both on tour at a Stones concert.
In another selfie, they posed beaming and happy with Deveraux, who proudly sported a black Rolling Stones baseball cap.

They did not become closer until the singer later invited Melanie to join him for the rock band’s stop in Zurich.
Although they have never married, they have been happily together for ten years and welcomed Deveraux in December 2016.
