Kate Middleton praises 'powerful, moving and inspiring' performance at Sadler's Wells in another encouraging sign of recovery

The Princess of Wales has visited the ballet as she continues her recovery following the news that she has completed chemotherapy.

Kate, 42, appeared to be in the audience at a performance of Akram Khan’s Giselle at London’s Sadler’s Wells theater today and posted a photo of the dancers on stage on the Kensington Palace X Twitter account.

The royal mother of three wrote: “Congratulations and thanks to (English National Ballet) and (Sadler’s Wells) for the wonderfully powerful, moving and inspiring performance of Akram Khan’s Giselle. Creativity at its finest!”

She signed the post with ‘C’ for Catherine, meaning that the message had come from her personally. Along with the post, Kate shared a photo of the cast on stage, taken by Laurent Liotardo.

Her visit to the theater is her first public outing since announcing her chemotherapy had ended and is another encouraging sign that she remains on a positive trajectory toward recovery.

The Princess of Wales revealed she attended a ballet performance at Sadler’s Wells, London, this afternoon and praised the “beautiful” performance in a post on X/Twitter.

In a touching and emotional video released earlier this month, the princess opened up about her cancer journey and how she will continue on the road to recovery.

She said: “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”

In the days since her message, the Princess’s priorities in her recovery have become increasingly clear.

Kate has been seen attending church on two occasions, indicating that her faith is taking center stage as she focuses on staying “cancer free.”

Additionally, your baby’s return to work has shown that you are putting your early years project at the center of your attention; she having presided over private meetings at royal residences in connection with her crusade.

Earlier this month, Kate revealed that she is on the mend after completing chemotherapy in a video announcement.

When she reveals that she visited the ballet, it becomes clear that another priority for the princess is simply doing the things she loves.

Kate is a well-known lover of ballet and has been seen in the audience in performances such as The Nutcracker over the years; both alone and with her daughter, Princess Charlotte.

After Kate was spotted at Crathie Kirk Church in Balmoral last weekend, the Mail revealed that she and Prince William enjoyed a child-free getaway to the Royal familyproperties in Scotland while Prince George, princess charlotte and Prince Louis he remained in Berkshire.

This brief appearance came less than a week after the Princess of Wales hosted her first business meeting in more than nine months, marking the start of her slow and measured return to public duties.

Last Tuesday, the royals held a meeting at Windsor Castle with those involved in their ‘Early Years’ project, which delves into the crucial role that the first years of a person’s life play in adulthood in which converts.

The Princess officially opened the Early Childhood Center in 2021, but has been researching the topic for the past 10 years and has vowed to highlight the importance of these issues for the rest of her working life.

Kate was joined by members of her home team, as well as representatives from her Early Childhood Center at Kensington Palace.

It was formally recorded in the Court Circular, the official record of royal engagements, which read: “The Princess of Wales, joint patron of the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales, held an Early Years Meeting this afternoon in Windsor.”

It was the first meeting recorded in the Court Circular since the Princess held a roundtable at her Royal Foundation on December 6 last year.

Earlier this month, the future queen bravely revealed that she had completed chemotherapy and is now “focused on staying cancer-free” as she posted a touching new video of William and her three children.

In the family video, the princess told viewers that her experience with cancer has taught her to appreciate the “simple but important things in life (…) of simply loving and being loved.”

The royal then briefly outlined his plan to return to royal duties, acknowledging that he does not want to rush again.

She continued: ‘Although I have finished chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.

‘However, I am looking forward to getting back to work and undertaking some more public engagements in the coming months when I can.

Prior to this, Kate made a fleeting appearance in an Instagram video to congratulate Team GB for their efforts at the Olympics, which was posted on their official page.

In the short clip, Kate said: “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.”

The Prince of Wales, dressed in an official blue Team GB shirt, briefly added: “Congratulations to Team GB, you have been an inspiration to us all.”

Just weeks after King Charles announced he had been diagnosed with cancer, his daughter-in-law revealed in an emotional message in March that she was also receiving treatment for the disease.

Since then, the mother-of-three has only been seen in public a handful of times, including Trooping the Color and the Wimbledon men’s singles final.

Before appearing on Trooping the Color in June, the royal issued a statement saying she hoped to attend the occasional engagement over the summer, but urged the public to be patient with her as, like many cancer patients, she has “good days and “bad guys.”

After spending much of the year coming to terms with the diagnosis and receiving ongoing chemotherapy, Kate relaxed as she smiled and waved to the delighted crowds, triumphantly returning to public life in a carriage procession for the Trooping the Color ceremony.

Ahead of the Wimbledon men’s singles final in July, officials were “hopeful” Kate would feel well enough to hand out trophies.

Fortunately, her hope turned out to be true and, in her role as patron of the All England Club, which organizes the annual tournament, the royal presented Alcaraz with the champion’s trophy after the Wimbledon men’s final.

After leaving the court after the presentation of trophies, the princess and Alcaraz had a conversation in a room inside the main stadium of the tournament. “You played very well,” Kate told him. “Enjoy the victory.”

Earlier, Kate came down from the stands to the playing surface to present the trophies and shook hands with some of the ball boys who worked the tournament.

Although future public engagements have not yet been announced, the Princess reportedly hopes to attend Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph.

However, she will not accompany her husband to the Earthshot Prize presentation in Cape Town in November.
