Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber have been tapped to write the screenplay based on the book, although Gad is expected to look to other sources for inspiration.

Chris Farley was found dead inside his Chicago apartment in December 1997, which the Cook County medical examiner attributed to an accidental overdose of cocaine and morphine.

Farley’s biopic is still in its early stages of production, so there is no word yet on a projected release date.
