When you’re in town to celebrate a birthday, a big party the next night can have little appeal, especially when it’s hundreds of miles away.
But hours after Lily James was spotted looking a little teary-eyed leaving a London hotel, she showed no signs of slowing down her 35th celebrations as she traveled to Milan for a fashion exhibition.
On Friday, the Downton Abbey star celebrated her birthday in a £10,000 suit at London’s “most exclusive” private club, Apollo’s Muse.
The actress smiled as she headed to the Mayfair venue accompanied by two men in matching cream suits.
James, who partied into the early hours with her friend actress Gemma Chan and magician Dynamo, wore a polka dot Yves Saint Laurent dress worth £4,639. Over his shoulders was a Burberry coat, which normally sells for around £2,000.

Apollo’s Muse is marketed as one of the “most private private clubs” and is located inside Mayfair restaurant Bacchanalia, which is believed to be one of Ms James’s favorite venues.
Only 500 people can be members, making it one of the most exclusive clubs in the world.
Designed by Richard Caring, the billionaire club magnate behind Annabel’s and The Ivy, it is frequented by famous names such as model Kate Moss.
There was no rest for Mrs James, who was later seen leaving her central London hotel dressed in baggy trousers, a leather jacket and a cap before flying 600 miles to Milan.
In Milan he partied well into the night on Saturday at the Dolce & Gabbana 40th anniversary exhibition at the Palazzo Reale museum.
There he rubbed shoulders with the likes of actress Demi Moore, 61, and M&S model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 36.
For her second party in 36 hours, James ditched the neutral tones of the previous night and opted for a black two-piece outfit consisting of a sheer halter-neck top and wide-leg pants.

Yesterday the jet-setting may have continued for the actress as she was believed to have flown back to the UK to prepare for the upcoming release of mystery comedy film Greedy People.
The actress first joined the project in May 2022, when Deadline revealed that she had joined its cast.
Greedy People will focus on a police officer who is tasked with investigating a murder and the sudden discovery of a large sum of money in a quiet town.
