Skye Wheatley has broken her silence on rumours she was the favourite to replace Sophie Monk as host of Love Island Australia.
The 30-year-old former Big Brother star was reportedly considered for the role by Channel Nine but was ruled out of the competition following her recent plastic surgery controversy.
However, the influencer told her Instagram followers on Wednesday that the claims were false and that any headline suggesting otherwise was “clickbait.”
A fan wrote to Skye during a Q&A to ask the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia winner if she was “supposed to be hosting Love Island”.
The blonde beauty simply replied: “No, it was clickbait!” alongside a picture of dog poop on her driveway.
Daily Mail Australia recently revealed that Skye Wheatley was set to replace Sophie, 44, as host of Love Island as she is said to be leaving the dating show soon.
However, a source went on to say that the Instagram star was eliminated from the running due to her changing appearance following multiple plastic and cosmetic surgeries.
Skye recently returned from Türkiye where she underwent a fox eye lift, liposuction, temporal lift and blepharoplasty.

These procedures were just the latest in a series of operations the reality TV star has undergone over the past decade in her quest to achieve the “perfect” look.
Upon her return to Queensland, Skye was devastated when Nine contacted her to say the network no longer required her services as a Love Island presenter.
“The idea was floated that Skye could go undercover and take over Love Island Australia,” a source said, revealing Sophie wanted to focus on other Nine projects.
‘The executives believed that Skye could do a very similar job to Sophie.’

“The whole idea fell apart when the network realised that she had drastically changed her appearance, which led Nine to back off the idea of hiring her.”
Skye recently traveled to Türkiye to visit a renowned cosmetic surgeon, who performed an eye surgery known as a fox eye lift.
She later revealed that in addition to the fox eye lift, she also had liposuction on her arms and inner thighs, a temporal lift, and blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery.
“The problem with changing your appearance and even your hair color is that your brand is often wrapped up in a look you’re famous for,” the source said.
“I don’t think Nine had any doubts about her ability to host the show. I think what changed was simply the ‘image’ that they hired her for.”
