Halle Berry took to Instagram on Saturday to share behind-the-scenes images from the set of her new movie Never Let Go.
Appealing to her audience of nearly nine million, the 58-year-old actress, who recently revealed details about the famous singer she rejected, revealed a series of cosmetic changes she made to transform into character.
Among them was a tuft of fake armpit hair, several wigs and imitation tattoos.
“Mom in the making,” Berry wrote in the caption, adding, “One of the most complex characters I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing.” #NeverLetGo is in theaters everywhere!’
So far, the post has racked up more than 100,000 likes.

The first clip from the carousel post shows Halle sitting in a makeup chair with makeup and effects artist Norma Patton-Lowin nearby.
“So what’s going on here, Norma?” -Berry asked. ‘What did you do? What did you do there, Norma?
Norma laughed with the screen siren about ‘the things I do to you’ while the actress also highlighted her eyebrows and temporary tattoos.
‘Thank you Halle for allowing me to push you to the limits of your character! “I had so much fun working with you to create Momma,” Patton-Lowin commented on the post.
Other outtakes featured the Catwoman star with short, wispy blonde hair with face-framing bangs.
In two images, she showed off her big boobs in a low-cut denim sleeveless top over a magenta bra.
The sleeveless look revealed her ink-covered arms as she posed in the BTS snaps.

In late August, before the film’s release, Berry joked in a social media caption: ‘Would Mom ever lead you astray?’ – in theaters September 20.’
A synopsis of the film describes her character as a “protective mother” of twins whose “only protection” is “her home and the protective bond of her family,” according to People.
The summary continues: ‘Needing to be connected at all times, even tied with ropes, they cling to each other, urging each other to never let go.
“But when one of the boys questions whether evil is real, the ties that bind them are severed, unleashing a terrifying fight for survival.”
Another selfie showed the chameleon-like artist with a mop of long, stringy brown hair.
The thriller was released in theaters on September 20.
The film, starring Anthony B. Jenkins and Percy Daggs IV as the twin brothers, was directed by Alexandre Aja.
Earlier this year, while attending CinemaCon, Berry spoke about using “a little bit of method acting” to embody the role of mom.
She shared that her character was “eating bugs and frogs (raw frogs) in the woods” and that she “actually had to skin a squirrel,” according to People.
“These things wildly challenged me to create some reality within this world that seemed so strange,” the longtime actress said.
