Guy Sebastian has sensationally left The Voice Australia.
The Australian Idol winner shared the lengthy, shocking announcement on Instagram on Wednesday night in several black and white slides.

“I have some news to share with all of you about my role as a voice coach,” he began.
‘I have made the decision to take a break from the best red chair on the planet.
‘It’s been an incredible six years as a coach and it’s honestly been the best gig ever! “I have nothing but good things to say about the program itself and sharing the panel with such incredible coaches has been a pleasure.”
He then went on to reflect on his time on the program.

“The best thing about the show is how positive it is and how much care and passion is put into making it a safe place for artists,” he continued.
For me now is the time to focus more on my essence, which is writing and performing new music.
I’m busy planning shows in Australia and around the world and I’m looking forward to getting out and connecting with all of you there.
For too long, I’ve been reading your comments wondering when I’ll visit your city/country and it’s about time I visit!
I’ve been working on this next album for four years and I’ve put everything I have into it, so I have to respect that effort and the art I’ve created.
Whoever has the audacity to take my chair, don’t get too comfortable… I will fight to get it back without dignity when I am ready to return.
Thank you all, it’s been great and let’s keep supporting new Australian talent – they’re some of the best in the world!
