Rachel Lindsay’s estranged husband is asking for spousal support as the couple navigates their divorce.

The former Bachelorette’s spouse, Bryan Abasolo, announced their separation in January.

In court papers filed in Los Angeles on May 1, the chiropractor asks the court to award emergency spousal support and require Lindsay, 39, to contribute at least $75,000 toward his legal fees, according to People.

In the filing, Abasolo, 44, alleged that his ex-wife was using funds from their joint accounts to pay their divorce-related expenses, while preventing him from doing so.

‘I am aware and believe that Rachel has been using our community property money to pay her divorce attorney and forensic accountant, while refusing to give me access to any of our community property funds to pay my divorce attorney,’ to my forensic accountant or any other of my personal expenses,’ he stated in the file.

“Rachel and I live together in our Family Residence, but neither of us wants to continue living together,” Abasolo said.

‘Our current living situation is very uncomfortable and tense. I want to move out of our family residence as soon as possible, but maintaining our standard of living is not financially viable at the moment.’

Abasolo alleged that Lindsay had claimed the house as her “sole property.”

The chiropractor stated that he believes most of the house payment came from their shared funds and that he needs access to that money to pay his legal fees.

The health care professional, who moved from Miami to Los Angeles, cited home ownership as one of the “major contentious issues” in the split.

“I put my career as a chiropractor on hold to move twice for Rachel’s career,” he said in the filing, according to US Weekly.

Lindsay was originally hired as an Extra correspondent, which facilitated her move to Los Angeles.

The former Texas lawyer has since left the show, but went on to host several podcasts, including Higher Learning with Van Lathan, and wrote two books: Miss Me With That and Real Love.

Lindsay, 39, and Abasolo, 44, met on season 13 of The Bachelorette and the couple married in Mexico in 2019. The couple announced their divorce in January.

“These moves were detrimental to my chiropractic business, while Rachel’s income and success as a media personality skyrocketed,” said Abasolo, who works at Beverly Hills Disc & Laser Therapy Center.

He also claimed that Lindsay placed security cameras in the house, but blocked access to them, even though she can “monitor my comings and goings.”

The couple met on season 13 of The Bachelorette in 2017. They married in Mexico two years later.

“After over 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to separate and start over,” Abasolo announced on social media in January.
