A groom has been slammed online after he was seen working on his laptop in the middle of his own wedding.
Tech mogul Casey Mackrell married his girlfriend Grace Thoenen, both from Florida, over the weekend.
But when Casey, co-founder of software company Thoughtly, took out his computer to work on a project for his work in the middle of the reception, many social media users were horrified.
Co-worker Torrey Leonard shared a photo of Casey sitting at a table and typing on his laptop while everyone else at the wedding hit the dance floor on LinkedIn, sparking a flurry of criticism about his decision to work on his own nuptials.
Torrey explained in the caption that “Casey had earned a reputation” at work as “the guy who sits in front of his laptop” every time they go out to bars.

‘It just so happens that Casey was getting married within that two-week period… So here she is wrapping up a pull request at her own wedding.
“Congratulations Casey, now please take some time off.”
People were quick to respond to the LinkedIn post with their thoughts on Casey’s immense dedication to his work, with many criticizing him for not postponing his work for his wedding.
‘This is not a push-up. It’s sad,” one person wrote, while another agreed: “This has to be one of the most depressing posts I’ve ever seen on LinkedIn.”
“This work ethic should not be advertised or applauded,” someone else added.
“It also doesn’t say much about the company, if he was the ONLY person who could deal with this that day.”
‘It’s absolutely strange posting this. This is nothing to brag about,’ reads a fourth comment.

‘This guy is (on) his laptop, working on his own wedding and you’re congratulating him? Totally deaf.
‘This is extremely pathetic. “It’s their wedding day,” said a fifth. ‘Work is not at the expense of family. WOW.’
“If I were his wife, I would file an annulment petition the next day,” another user announced.
‘Of course, I’m sure there were several red flags before this. This is not all, brother.’
Another person said his act “demonstrated an appalling lack of self-awareness,” while another person said he “aspired to be the exact opposite” of Casey.
“Really sad that Casey wasn’t committed enough to call off the wedding,” another user sarcastically commented.
“Someone who really knew how to work would have canceled it the moment the contract was signed.”
