Gogglebox’s Pete Sandiford made a moving statement as he gave fans a rare insight into his marriage to wife Paige.

On Friday’s episode of the hit Channel 4 show, which was also the last of the season, the happy couple enjoyed watching Bridgerton, The Piano, Inside No. 9, My Strange Addiction: Still Addicted? and more.

During a Bridgerton scene, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) is seen asking potential suitor Lord Debling: ‘Can love ever grow?’ but Lord Debling simply replies, “I don’t know.”

At that point, Pete was quick to comment comparing their real-life situation: “I didn’t think I was going to get someone like Paige, but here I am. You have to punch above your weight, when Paige realizes… I’ll say, “Too late.”

Later in the latest installment, Pete’s sister Sophie Sandiford also appeared and mentioned, “You know Wednesday is your wedding anniversary, right?”

But Pete seemed surprised and replied: ‘Don’t do that to me, I thought it was today!’

‘I don’t have anything right now, I need to fix something. To be fair, she said, “Oh, you know, we won’t do anything, we won’t get anything,” Peter added.

But Sophie immediately joked: ‘No! That means get me something, don’t fall into that trap!’ to which Pete replied: ‘Yes, I know, I know!’

“I tell Paige the biggest gift is me and it’s pretty cheap, pretty thrifty,” the Gogglebox star added with a laugh.

Pete and Paige have been happily married since 2021 and welcomed their first child together later that same year.

The Gogglebox-favorite couple announced in December 2022 that they were expecting their first child, and Peter officially shared the happy news with fans during an episode.

Their second child, a daughter, was finally born in June 2023, and Pete took the opportunity to present her on television.

While gently cradling the little girl, she called her sister Sophie, who was in the other room, and said: ‘Sophie, did I tell you Eva’s full name? She will be Eva Sylvie Sandiford.
