Following the trend set by Dune: Part II and continuing with Deadpool & Wolverine, Gladiator II will have a new epic popcorn bucket that fans will go crazy for.
The Dune II popcorn bucket was designed after one of the huge sandworms from the movie… although it went viral because it looked like a sex toy.
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman continued the fun with their Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket that featured Wolverine with his mouth wide open, also drawing comparisons to sex toys.
However, this new Gladiator II cube (via fandango) won’t have X-rated connotations, although it does feature some intriguing new technologies.
After fans have eaten all the popcorn inside, they will be able to use new augmented reality (AR) technology that will reveal a Gladiator battle inside the real cube.

After fans have eaten all the popcorn inside, they will be able to use new augmented reality (AR) technology that will reveal a Gladiator battle inside the real cube.
Fandango posted the first two images of the cube on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that the cube is shaped like the Gladiator arena in the movie.
“Enter the AR-ena popcorn bucket,” the image is captioned, hinting at the AR technology used.
The second image offers a glimpse of what the AR battle would look like inside the popcorn bucket, but its TikTok video offered a glimpse of the AR battle between two tiny combatants.
“Finish the popcorn and unleash the internal battle,” says the announcer, as they reveal what awaits them at the bottom of the cube: a QR code that fans can scan, “to bring the Colosseum to life.”
TMZ reports that the cubes will be available at Cinemark locations, although the Paramount YouTube Images says it will also be at “other participating theaters,” though no specific theater chains were mentioned.
Fans were quite stunned by the new popcorn bucket, although others thought it was a harbinger of doom for the film itself.
