The team working with Girls Aloud on the upcoming reunion tour is reportedly worried it could all “end in disaster” if the band clash again.
The girl band fell out after breaking up in 2013, as they publicly disagreed on when and the reasons why they decided to announce a hiatus.
Following the tragic loss of bandmate Sarah Harding at age 39 in 2021, the band put their past troubles behind them to reform in memory of the late singer.
However, despite their enthusiastic attitude about reuniting for a 30-date tour, insiders are said to be worried that tensions will soar when the pressure of a tour begins.
Cheryl, 40, Nadine Coyle, 38, Nicola Roberts, 38, and Kimberley Walsh, 42, were pictured arriving at rehearsals for the first time looking slightly solemn last week.

Cheryl responded to the allegations and said Nadine was “full of s***” and claimed she had requested a break in 2009, which started discussions about their breakup (Cheryl and Nadine pictured on stage in 2009).
Following the tragic loss of bandmate Sarah Harding (pictured in 2013) at age 39 in 2021, the band put their past troubles behind them to reform in memory of the late singer.
A source said Sun: ‘It’s no secret that Cheryl and Nadine had a strained relationship and professional rivalry in the past; They couldn’t even agree when Girls Aloud broke up, so now they’re on their best behavior with the reunion.
“But behind the scenes, many team members fear they will clash again.” They both look back and can see that they were both at fault, they have both matured a lot and due to the professional and personal challenges they have faced since the band, they no longer have the ego or competitiveness that they had back then. ‘
They continued: “Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberly are best friends and it seems like they’re really trying not to exclude Nadine because they don’t want anything to derail this tour or cause tension, and Nadine is making a real effort with them too.” she’s really gotten to know the adult versions of them over the last year and they’ve become close.
Those close to the band apparently hope that their past disputes over who sings what and attracts the most headlines no longer matter and can be left in the past. MailOnline has contacted representatives for comment.
Things got ugly between some of the band members when Nadine distanced herself from the group after their split.
After the announcement, Nadine took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, “You should know by now that I had no involvement in any of this split business.” I couldn’t stop them. “I had a great time and I want to keep going.”
Cheryl responded to the allegations and said Nadine was “full of s***” and claimed she had requested a break in 2009, which started discussions about their breakup.
And he added: ‘She was the one who wanted to make a solo album. That’s why we paused. Does she want to come out and say we broke up the band? No! She shouldn’t tell Porkie Pies.

‘Okay, so do you want us to tell the truth? She wasn’t going to make another Girls Aloud album until she got a solo deal. I feel like he ransom us and then signed a solo record deal.
‘It’s the truth. She’s saying we broke up the band. There you go.’
Kimberley also claimed in her 2013 autobiography, A Whole Lot Of History, that she would never have chosen Nadine and Sarah as friends without the band.
Nadine also criticized the other members for ‘taking out their anger on her’ because she was able to sing more on their songs.
She said: “At first it was okay, but there’s always politics in any band.” It just happened that I always had more voices than everyone else, so in terms of people wanting their voice to be heard, that wasn’t happening.
“This made people very bitter. They didn’t like that. It’s so sad for me to have to admit these things now because for so long, there was the band and you want everyone to think that we’re best friends and we have pillow fights and, you know, we drink milkshakes.
‘That’s what I wanted it to be. I really wanted it to be that way, but it just wasn’t that way. We are all very, very different characters.
Girls Aloud will begin their reunion tour next month, after confirming they would get back together last year, marking 21 years since their formation.
However, it seems like the four don’t always see eye to eye after they had a heated debate during a recent radio interview earlier this month.
The group insisted that they “don’t do disagreements, just differences of opinion,” but things became hilariously chaotic when they joined the host. Scott Mills on his Radio 2 show.
Girls Aloud insisted they “don’t do disagreements, just differences of opinion”, but things got very heated during an appearance on Scott Mills’ Radio 2 show.
The group is known for their stunning matching outfits on stage (pictured with the late Sarah Harding in 2013).
A video posted to BBC Radio 2’s Instagram page showed the interview descending into chaos after Scott innocently asked the band if they would perform. Some new covers on the tour.
Nicola was the first to respond, insisting: “I don’t think we have room”, only for Cheryl to intervene and tell Scott: “I’ve said it several times, people like it!”
Nadine, however, was on the opposite side and interrupted to say: “I was totally against it. I think we had as many Girls Aloud songs as we did our own. Why do we have to do it?’
“But we can just add a random cover, it’s fun!” Cheryl responded.
Scott told listeners: ‘You’re coming together because there’s a slight disagreement with Girls Aloud about whether they should do covers or just the hits. We’ll be back after this…’
The video then continued as the girls continued talking to each other, with Scott explaining: ‘Girls Aloud are here and they’re still discussing whether they’re going to do a cover or just their hits. Have we already reached an agreement?
An exasperated Cheryl continued: “I’m not saying we shouldn’t do anything,” before pleading “guys” when she was interrupted again.
While mediating, Scott told Cheryl to talk, who explained, “I think we should do everything and… for three more minutes.”
‘But how long does the show last? Five hours?’ Scott noted, prompting Nadine to declare ‘exactly!’
Cheryl revealed they had been discussing plans for some time but put the idea on ice when Sarah, who died in September 2021, was diagnosed with cancer.
“We’re going to have to raise our hands again,” Scott joked.
Announcing the tour in November, the quartet revealed that the group has not recorded new music but just wants to celebrate their back catalogue.
Cheryl revealed they had been discussing plans for some time but put the idea on ice when Sarah, who died in September 2021, was diagnosed with cancer.
She said in a statement: “We all started talking about the possibility of doing something to celebrate Girls Aloud’s 20th anniversary a few years ago. The anniversary seemed like an obvious thing we would celebrate.
‘But when Sarah became ill, all priorities changed. She passed away a year before her anniversary and she just didn’t seem right to me, she seemed too soon to me.”
The group plans to use the tour to “celebrate” their late friend.
