The Notebook star Gena Rowlands has died aged 94.
The two-time Golden Globe winner passed away at her home in Indian Wells, California, on Wednesday afternoon. TMZ information.
She was surrounded by her family, including her husband of 12 years, Robert Forrest, and her daughter Alexandra Cassavetes, 58.
With a Hollywood career spanning seven decades, Rowlands is a decorated star of stage and screen.
She played the famous Old Allie in the beloved 2004 romantic drama The Notebook, starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling.
The cause of death has not been revealed, but her son Nick Cassavetes, 65, previously revealed that his mother had been battling Alzheimer’s disease.
