Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade revealed how she hid her pregnancy until her father announced the exciting news.
The 28-year-old daughter said her best friend, Brittany Ednie, helped her keep her pregnancy a secret until she was ready to reveal the announcement with her father.
On Friday’s episode of her and her best friend’s Just A Little Shady podcast, the mom-to-be, who married husband Evan McClintock in May, said Ednie ‘covered’ her at a wedding attended by ‘a couple from weeks ago.’
His revelation comes one day after Eminem, 51, shared that he is preparing to become a grandfather.
The day before, they were seen in Eminem’s new music video for his song Temporary, and Hailie could be seen giving her father a Detroit Lions jersey with the word “grandpa” written on the back.

His revelation comes one day after Eminem, 51, shared that he is preparing to become a grandfather.
“I also need to defend myself now that this is public knowledge, that you’re pregnant, because at said wedding, people didn’t know she was pregnant,” Ednie said after Hailie criticized her for being a little drunk at the nuptials.
He explained that he had been secretly drinking all of Hailie’s alcoholic beverages so that his friends wouldn’t arouse suspicion.
“So she was, you know, having a drink, not consuming it like a responsible parent does,” he said.
“Every time people turned around, she would hand me her drink and I would drink to make it look like she had been drinking continuously all night.”
Hailie said he was “taking something for the team” by drinking for her too, even though she never asked him to.
“However, I will defend myself because I never actually asked you to do it,” he said. “It was like something unsaid before our eyes.”
And up until that point, Hailie said her husband was drinking her drinks at social events.
At the wedding, she said he “wasn’t around” because they were talking to different people.

On Thursday, Hailie revealed that she and her husband Evan McClintock, whom she married in May, are expecting their first child together.
Hailie also said she was drinking a lavender lemonade cocktail, which her husband didn’t want to drink, but Ednie volunteered.
‘Evan said, “I don’t want that.” But you said, “Oh, I’ll have some drinks,” Hailie reminded Ednie. “So I feel like you volunteered for that.”
However, the best friends said they don’t have to pretend anymore since it’s all over and Eminem helped his daughter, the mom-to-be, reveal her big news.
