Production on Eddie Murphy and Keke Palmer’s upcoming film The Pickup has been halted after several crew members were injured in an accident on the Atlanta set.
Murphy, 63, and Palmer, 30, have previously been seen filming on set, but filming has now stopped after an incident that occurred on Saturday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The accident took place during a “second unit action sequence” that was previously rehearsed, according to an Amazon spokesperson.
“Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several crew members were injured,” the spokesperson said.
“We are still in the process of gathering data about what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering.”

‘The well-being of the entire cast and crew is our first priority, and we will continue to insist on the highest industry safety standards during filming. All safety precautions were reviewed before and monitored during filming.’
On Tuesday, The Associated Press reported that the incident was a car accident that occurred when a truck “locked up” and collided with another vehicle.
“It was a completely freak accident,” an anonymous source told the AP, adding that the stunt being performed was not considered especially dangerous.
The source stated that two crew members were hospitalized due to the accident and one remained in the hospital on Tuesday.
Injuries “ranged from bumps and bruises to broken bones.”
“Crew union IATSE also issued a statement saying: ‘IATSE is aware of an accident that took place on the set of The Pickup in Georgia and has launched an investigation.’
The plot of the film is kept secret, although Deadline reports that the film will be a heist comedy.
The film also stars Eva Longoria and Pete Davidson.
Last month, the duo was spotted on set in Atlanta and appeared to be sporting some dark circles. The actress, 49, had a bruise on her face, courtesy of the makeup department.
