Australian foodies are losing their minds after spotting the “world’s best chocolate” on sale at Aldi.

Gemma, from Geelong, spotted Tony’s Chocolonely bars in the ‘Special Buys’ section and was shocked by the $4.99 price tag.

The cult favorite chocolate, from the Netherlands, sent shoppers into a frenzy last year after launching in Coles and Woolworths for $8 each.

Now fans are rushing to Aldi to get their hands on the popular purchase at a discounted price.

‘$4.99, really? “They have strawberry white chocolate cheesecake and dark milk chocolate brownie,” Gemma said in a TikTok. video.

Gemma chose two popular flavours: Strawberry White Chocolate Cheesecake and Dark Milk Chocolate Brownie.

After just 24 hours, her video surpassed 24,000 views and one foodie urged Gemma to “stock up” on what she bought.

‘Almost half the price of the big box stores, wow! I will definitely buy one,’ commented one.

“Dark milk chocolate brownies are next level,” said another.

After its launch Down Under last year, Australian fans took to social media to call it the “prettiest chocolate ever” and “10 times better than Cadbury”.

“One of the best chocolates ever,” one person wrote.

“Much better than any Australian chocolate,” another commented.

‘I love this chocolate. Every time I’ve been to Europe in the last few years I bring back some bars,” said a third.

However, others were concerned about the $8 price tag.

“I enjoyed this chocolate, but I’ll buy it when it’s on sale,” said one.

“It’s really good but not worth the price,” added another.

“I spend $8 and it’s not the best tasting chocolate I’ve ever had,” a third commented.

Chocolate has a higher price because it maintains a slave-free chocolate chain.
