Christine Lampard’s interview with her husband Frank was branded “awkward” by viewers during Friday’s Lorraine, less than 24 hours after she chatted to him again on Loose Women.

The broadcaster, 45, was presenting the ITV morning show and spoke to her partner, also 45, along with comedian Lee Mack via video link about the upcoming Soccer Aid charity match.

As Lee cracked jokes, the couple couldn’t contain their laughter as Frank appeared to sway awkwardly from side to side.

Christine, who married the former footballer in 2015, ended the interview by saying: “Good luck with your training, good luck on both sides, I have to be in the middle, and as we say, it’s all for a good cause.”

Before adding: ‘I’ll call you later, Frank.’

Frank laughed and replied: ‘I am fully aware that Christine knows where I am at all times. And if she doesn’t do it for like five minutes, I get a call saying, ‘What are you doing?’ I am a good boy. I’m under control.

Christine laughed and said, ‘That works both ways!’ while the audience laughed.

Given Frank will have his hands full with Soccer Aid for the rest of the week, he said: “Who’s going to take out my bins this week, that’s the big question.”

Frank joked: “That’s a good question, maybe you can, Christine?”
