The Bridgerton actor, 36, joined his Wicked co-stars, including Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Down Under, to promote their film, based on the popular stage show.

But Jonathan made sure to take time out of his busy work schedule to enjoy some of Sydney’s most iconic tourist spots.

He took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos from his trip, including one of him scaling the world-famous Sydney Harbor Bridge.

The image was also shared by the official Bridge Climb Instagram page, and Jonathan appeared in his element as he posed on top of the bridge.

Jonathan, who plays Elphaba’s love interest Fiyero Tigelaar in Wicked, didn’t seem fazed by the height as he flashed a huge smile and struck a playful pose.

He did not appear to have been accompanied by any of his Wicked teammates on the climb as he posed alone after reaching the top.

A pun-filled title beneath Bridge Climb’s post gleefully referenced his world-famous role as Anthony Bridgerton in the hit Netflix series, Bridgerton.

In the style of the series’ gossip writer, Lady Whistledown, it said: “Dear readers, it seems that our beloved Lord Bridgerton has traded his lofty terrace on the ‘Ton for an even grander summit: the Sydney Harbor Bridge!

“Jonathan Bailey is said to have taken on this dazzling experience in Sydney, whilst spending a truly ‘Wicked’ time here in Oz. We can only imagine the stories he will bring to the other side of the Bridgeerton!

Jonathan and his Wicked co-stars celebrated the film’s Australian premiere in Sydney on Sunday and have been busy promoting the release over the past week.

The film is about an unlikely friendship that develops between Elphaba (Cynthia) and Glinda (Ariana), two warring witches in the magical land of Oz.

Elphaba is wrongly portrayed as an evil witch as she seeks to expose the fraudulent and corrupt wizard who rules the land.

Wicked is the origin story of “a green-skinned woman who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West,” and serves as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz.

The story delves into the ancient friendship between the characters Elphaba and Glinda many years before Dorothy’s arrival.

While in Australia, Jonathan made sure to take time out of his busy work schedule to enjoy some of Sydney's most iconic tourist spots.

The cast also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, and Peter Dinklage, among many others.

Ariana has been credited in the film under her birth name Ariana Grande-Butera, and recently revealed that she chose to use her full nickname to “honor” her younger self.

‘Technically, it’s my girl’s name. It’s little Ari’s name. “This experience was a great homecoming for me,” Ariana began.

‘I feel like I came back to myself in a lot of ways thanks to what I learned from (Wicked characters) Glinda, from Elphaba.

“That was my name when I was 10 and I thought it was a really lovely way to honor it. “I felt like it really came full circle and it was something I wanted to do.”

Wicked: Part One will hit theaters on November 22, and the sequel, Wicked: Part Two, will follow next year and is scheduled to be released on November 21, 2025.
